PTDYA is a Chicago-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing high-quality music, dance, theatre, and performing arts experiences to students across Chicago schools. Our programs build confidence, creativity, collaboration, communication skills, and cultural awareness while supporting school climate and student engagement.

PROGRAM OPTIONS FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
In-School Performing Arts Residency

Integrate performing arts into the school day through music, dance, musical theatre, and performance-based learning. Programs can serve individual grade levels or entire schools and culminate in student performances for families and the school community.
Includes:
 • Acting, dance, and vocal instruction
 • Black History Month and cultural celebrations
 • Student showcases and performances
 • Customized scheduling and grade-level options

After-School Performing Arts Program

Provide students with meaningful enrichment through musical theatre, dance, and music instruction. Students develop performance skills while working toward a fully staged production.
Includes:
 • 2–3 days per week programming
 • Professional teaching artists
 • Costumes, music, and production support
 • Student and community performances
Starting at $16,000. per semester, depending on hours of instruction

Winter Arts Enrichment Program (NEW)

Designed for schools seeking structured enrichment during Chicago’s cold-weather months. This program provides students with a consistent arts experience during extended recess or enrichment periods when outdoor activities are limited.
Includes:
 • Creative drama and theatre games
 • Dance and movement activities
 • Music and rhythm exploration
 • Team-building and collaborative arts projects
 • 8–12 week sessions for a consistent student cohort
Starting at $8,000 for an 8-week session, depending on hours of instruction

Since she started with the program, my daughter Mikal has become a true performer. She knows how to select musical numbers that complement her voice, she’s writing songs, and choreographing her own production. She enjoys her music so much that she’s chosen a career as a music therapist. She’s convinced that all children can learn through music.
